Account Holder Name - SEPA Verification of Payee (VoP)

Account Holder Name - SEPA Verification of Payee (VoP)

RELEASED IN V3.5 Are your payouts to customers being delayed or rejected by the bank because the name of the contact is not the same as the bank holder’s name? With the new account holder name, those days are over. This upcoming feature introduces a dedicated account holde

Solution

A new Account holder name is added into the contact's bank account details, alongside the IBAN and BIC. It is displayed wherever bank details are available — Back Office contact details, the Box Office direct-debit mandate form, and the Ticket Shop — and it is exported to your bank in the SEPA files. If a contact has no account holder name, the contact name is sent exactly as before.

Why this matters

Since October 2025, banks have required the payee name to match the IBAN for transfers within the Eurozone. This can cause errors when processing payments, especially when the bank account holder’s name differs from the ticket purchaser’s name in the contact, or when the bank account belongs to a company.

Getting started

Screen Configurations

The new account holder name will be automatically activated along with IBAN. The screen configuration of the organization allows you to hide it, if necessary.

When you take a payment on a pending account with a direct-debit instalment, the Direct debit mandate form now includes the account holder name. It is pre-filled with the contact’s name.
